‘ab’ is short for Aurora Borealis. These ‘ab’ beads are beautiful, iridescent colored beads. You will find ‘ab’ beads in a variety of colors and styles, like faceted ab, starflake ab, butterfly ab and berry ab. There are ‘ab’ beads in colors and sizes to suit everyone’s needs. The ‘ab’ beads are made of either plastic or acrylic

Bali Beads Bali beads are usually made out of silver or sterling silver, but are many times found in copper or bronze materials. They are often used as spacers when making jewelry.

Bugle Beads Bugle beads are long beads that are shaped like a cylinder or tube.

Cloisonné is a multi-step enamel process used to produce jewelry, vases, and other decorative items. Any objects produced by this process is also called cloisonné. Cloisonné is an ancient metalworking technique, first developed in the Near East. It spread to the Byzantine Empire and from there along the Silk Road to China, which is now the site of many high quality cloisonné production facilities. Cheaper modern reproductions also come from China, Japan and Korea.

Czech Beads The Czech Republic has a rich history of bead making. All Czech glass is imported and made from pressed Czech glass or shaped Czech glass.

Drop Beads Drop beads are shaped like a pear or raindrop. The hole is usually through the narrow end of the bead.

Hex Beads Hex beads look similar to gemstones and they are faceted on all sides.

Lampwork Beads Lampwork beads are made from molten glass. Because of the delicate process that it takes to create them, lampwork beads can have wonderful colors, stripes and dots.

Pony Beads Pony beads are large beads which makes them great for kids to make their own jewelry. Pony beads are often made out of plastic

Swarovski Crystal Beads Swarovski crystal beads were originally made in Austria and are often used to create fine jewelry. These beads are known for their sparkle.

Seed Beads Seed beads are round, small beads that are usually made out of glass. These beads come in a wide variety of colors which makes them perfect for jewelry as well as needle craft projects.

NOTE: Many times because of the cost, Cloisonné and Lampwork Beads are combined with Gemstones in order to maintain their high value.

Gemstone beads mixed with glass or man-made beads also make very pretty designs.

There are hundreds of round, oval, hex, triangular, rectangular, donut beads, gemstone or man-made, in all sizes available on the market.  As time permits for adding, here are a few of the styles of Beads that can be found in the markets today.
